Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has secured a ₹179.43 crore Letter of Award (LoA) from Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) for the supply of underground power cables. The order will support AEML’s electricity distribution network in Mumbai and covers approximately 871 km of medium-voltage and low-voltage cables.
The order was disclosed by Diamond Power Infrastructure on September 15, 2026. The contract value includes applicable GST, along with packing and forwarding, freight and transit insurance costs.
Order Covers 871 Km of Underground Cables
Under the contract, Diamond Power Infrastructure will supply different types of underground power cables for AEML’s distribution network. The order includes 33 kV and 11 kV medium-voltage cables and 1.1 kV low-voltage cables.
The total quantity covered under the Letter of Award is approximately 871 km, making it a significant order for the company’s power cable business.
Deliveries to Start After Manufacturing Clearance
The supply of cables will begin after the required manufacturing clearance is received. According to the company’s disclosure, the planned delivery rate is approximately 50 km per month, although the schedule can be adjusted depending on project requirements.
The cables will be used in AEML’s underground distribution infrastructure, supporting the electricity network in Mumbai.
Third Consecutive Year of AEML Order
The latest contract marks the third consecutive year in which Diamond Power Infrastructure has received an order from Adani Electricity Mumbai for its distribution network.
The company has manufacturing and testing facilities for power cables and supplies products across different voltage categories. Its product portfolio includes LV, MV, HV and EHV power cables, along with control and instrumentation cables, fire-resistant cables, solar DC cables and EV charging cables.
