What are the 4 methods of cost estimation?

There are four common methods of cost estimation used in house construction. The Plinth Area Method estimates cost based on the built-up area of the house. The Unit Rate Method calculates cost by multiplying quantity with rate of materials and work.

The Approximate Quantity Method gives a rough idea of total cost at an early stage. The Detailed Estimation Method is the most accurate and includes material, labor, and item-wise costs.

Today, many people also use a Construction Cost Calculator to get quick and easy cost estimates based on area, location, and material quality before starting construction.
